02.04.2012 Future militiamen-polyglots have entered upon their duties in expectation of Euro 2012

The time is not far off when the final of 2012 European Football Championship will be held in Ukraine. Flows of foreign tourists are just about to flood streets of one of the host cities – Donetsk. To ensure due public order maintenance, to prevent mass riots, to help our guests to overcome a language barrier, it was decided to involve in service second- and third-year cadets of Donetsk institute of law who speak foreign languages.

13.03.2012 Joint meeting of head of Donetsk city department of militia and Donetsk mayor was devoted to gambling business and Euro 2012 preparation

Today, in Donetsk city executive committee the meeting took place between the head of Donetsk city department of militia Yuriy Sednev and Donetsk mayor Aleksandr Lukyanenko. The event was devoted to two vital matters: fight against gambling business and preparation for the 2012 European Football Championship.

26.01.2012 Head of Donetsk city department Yuriy Sednev met with representatives of Dutch police within the bounds of the visit of the delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Donetsk

Today, on January 26, on the Donbass Arena stadium the meeting took place between heads of Donetsk different state authorities and services and the delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands where the head of Donetsk city department of militia Yuriy Sednev participated as well. The event took place within the bounds of preparation for 2012 European Football Championship.

28.12.2011 Following a route of mercy

It is children who expect New Year’s holidays most of all. So Donetsk militiamen devoted the week before the New Year to inmates of child welfare institutions under militia’s wardship. The designated route of visits to children deprived of parents’ care included 20 boarding schools, children's homes and orphanages.

27.12.2011 Museum of Donetsk militia’s history was increased by a new hall

A lot of symbolic events, connected with the celebration of the 20-th anniversary of Ukrainian militia, will dwell in the memory of Donetsk militiamen. The creation of a new hall in the museum of Donetsk militia’s history became one of those events which brought to the end the process of creation of the historical – memorial complex of GA of Donetsk region.

20.10.2011 Important match was held in a friendly atmosphere

19th of October 2011, on "Donbass Arena” a football match "Shakhtar" (Donetsk) - "Zenith" (St. Petersburg) was held within the Champions League. Thanks to the professional actions of the militia and the efficient organization of the personnel, there was no violation of public order.

28.09.2011 International anti-terrorism training began in Donetsk

In Donetsk, 28th of September of this year under the auspices of the Anti-terrorist Centre of CIS member states and the Security Service of Ukraine was opened the meeting of the executives of anti-terrorist units of the security agencies and special services of CIS member states. The planned activities, which will take place over two days, are within the framework of the second phase of joint anti-terrorism exercise called "Donbass-Antiterror-2011". The first phase was held two weeks ago in the territories of the Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation and Ukraine with participation of nominal terrorist groups.

07.09.2011 The international theoretical and practical conference with participation of law enforcement agencies took place on Donbass Arena

Today, on the Donbass Arena stadium, Donetsk institute of law under the aegis of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Donetsk state administration, Hanns Seidel Fund (Germany) and FC «Shakhter» carried out the international theoretical and practical conference «Public order and security maintenance during 2012 European Football Championship».

11.07.2011 One more step to Euro 2012

The other day in Kiev the ambassador of Great Britain in Ukraine gathered together representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, press services of law enforcement agencies, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, border service, football functionaries, i.e. those who are occupied with preparation for EURO 2012 within the bounds of their work.

16.03.2011 Militia of Donetsk region trained to behave tolerantly attacked a bus and took part in liquidation of the consequences of an emergency at the stadium.

In Donetsk, under the direction of the head of the regional interdepartmental coordination centre on questions of safety and law enforcement, the deputy head of the regional state administration Boris Adamov, the tactical – special training took place within the bounds of preparation for the European football forum in 2012. Law enforcement agencies trained to cooperate in case of emergency situations which could occur during a football match. Students of Donetsk Institute of Law played the role of ruffians-fans.

30.11.2010 Euro 2012 requirements: Donetsk law enforcement agencies must maintain public order in any situation

Today, in terms of preparation for 2012 European Football Championship, GA of MIA of Ukraine in Donetsk region has carried out special tactical trainings in Donetsk, the aim of which was to practice joint actions of bodies of internal affairs and of Ministry of emergency under conditions of group violation of public order.

20.05.2010 Donetsk militia aims at 100% readiness for Euro 2012

In terms of preparation for 2012 European Championship final on the territory of Donetsk, as well as for other international matches, GA of MIA of Ukraine in Donetsk region, with participation of special militia divisions, Railroad Administration of MIA of Ukraine, General Administration of Ministry of emergency of Ukraine in Donetsk region, organized tactical special trainings on May 20, 2010. The aim of it was to practice coordinated joint actions of divisions of internal affairs bodies and that of Ministry of emergency under conditions of group violation of public order and mass riots.
